Fence|Deck Painting & Staining
"We are not going to be able to use the same type of paint on every single area.” We have used at least some variation of this phrase on numerous occasions on this site. This is never more evident than when we are dealing with painting fences or decks. A lot of times fences and decks are going to be made of wood. We are not just going to be able to come in and apply the same paint that we would on drywall and expect similar results. In these cases, we are going to be looking to protect the surface first by staining it and then seeing if we add new colors or repaint.

With staining since we want to make sure that we give the area a decent amount of time to cure properly, we are usually going to be looking for at least a few days of great weather to work with. That being said, we would not say that there is a perfect time of year as long as we can find a 3 or 4-day perfect window!
